Maud Morgan Arts Faculty Show!

Bea Modisett to be featured in Maud Morgan Arts Faculty Exhibit!

I hope you all will make an effort to be at the opening reception! Put it on your calendars...now!

Bea Modisett at Maud Morgan Art Center

Hi Friends,

I'm happy to say that I have made a career change! I have left my position as an Admissions Counselor at Montserrat College of Art and will be embarking on a new journey as a faculty member at the Maud Morgan Art Center in Cambridge, MA!

I will be teaching three different courses:

Acrylic Painting, a course for adults exploring (duh) acrylic painting, Drawing Safari in Your Own Back Yard where I will work with students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade to create unique creatures comprised of real and imagined animals (this one is going to be fun), and Draw and Paint Your Way Around the World where I make it no secret that other cultures have a huge impact on my work and try and pass this enthusiasm on to 6th, 7th and 8th graders.

You can see more detailed course descriptions and the other courses being offered at this brand new art center at www.aggasiz.org.

I will also be teaching two classes at Montserrat College of Art this semester - one is a similar Acrylic Painting Workshop for adults and the second is a College Portfolio Prep class for teens interested in applying to art college and who might need some guidance with their portfolios. Visit www.montserrat.edu for more information.

I'm very excited about these opportunities because I love to teach but also because it will leave me more time to paint! I hope you'll help spread the word and help to foster interest in these two wonderful and very different, art institutions.

You're the best!
Bea

Anthony Palocci Jr.

Check out what This Collective Pull: A Mass Collaboration artist Anthony Palocci Jr. has been up to. His work was featured in the exhibit at fivesevendelle and a few months later fellow artist Julia Purinton was asking for his contact information to see if he'd be interested in this project.

We're glad to see that one thing led to another!

Remember, if you have any news you'd like to share please email this.collective.pull@gmail.com and we'll help spread the word!
